What is AI? What is the Turing test? What AI do we use in our daily lives?
Do we have A.I. in this world now?
Well, actually no, the thing that people call A.I. in the world now isn't actually counted as artificial intelligence.
'Wait this is a blog about A.I. how are you going to talk about A.I. without it existing??' (Jeffrey)
Well first of all, shut your mouth Jeffery, and second of all we're allowed to make a blog about whatever we want, and yes we did have a valid reason to have a blog about A.I. without it existing.
Well , sorry it actually does sort of exist, just there are a few different types, and the A.I. that people think about in films and so on doesn't actually exist.
An important thing when talking about A.I. is the Turing test. Made in 1950, it is a way to see if A.I. can think like a human being.
Named after the founder, Alan Turing, who said that a computer can be AI if it can copy human responses, the Turing test is worked by two people and the computer you are testing. In the test one of the humans becomes the tester, and the other two respond. The test is done by the first human, asking questions in a specific form to the two respondents. Finally, the first man is asked which of the respondents was the human. This activity is done multiple times and if the person asking the questions says that the computer is human more than half of the runs then that is considered to be AI.
Other than things that have passed the Turing test (there have been none) we now consider things such as the Autonomous Car and computer programs to also be AI.
Things such as the Autonomous Car are starting to be used in our daily lives. However there are things that we use more often. Examples of this are things such as Voice Assistance and Smart Input Keyboards, however I think that the type of AI we use most is that used in Entertainment Streaming Apps.
You know when you're watching YouTube and the videos that come up are things that you like? See, that's AI it remembers the things that we watched and finds the same sort of thing and plays it to us. It's a bit freaky if you think about it, because we're spoon fed the things that we like. Especially when looking at conspiracies and political views, if we look up one thing, that side of the view will be shown over and over again to us, then we see if the more radical stuff has a kick, it does. Then we all find ourselves in a spiral of false information, and end up worshipping the devil.
Well that kind of got out of hand at the end but you get the idea.

Thank you for reading.
Oh, and feel free to comment any AI you use on a daily basis.
